Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Birthplace with a focus on antepartum and postpartum care. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, guide patient/family teaching, and lead other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.

This role requires a current RN license; BSN preferred, and ongoing certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, fetal monitoring). Full-time day shift with comprehensive benefits and a sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
• STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching.
• Directs and guides other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients and visitors, especially newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• 3. BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
