Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Advance your Labor & Delivery nursing career at a distinguished Magnet-recognized, Level I Trauma Center, and Teaching Hospital in Lansing, MI! Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with this leading 632-bed facility to find experienced RNs passionate about providing exceptional care during one of life's most significant events.

Your Role

As an L&D RN, you will provide expert nursing care within a dynamic obstetrics service line. Your responsibilities will primarily focus on:

• Labor & Delivery (12 LDRs, 3 ORs, 6 OB Triage): Providing direct patient care during labor, delivery, recovery, and triage according to AWHONN staffing models.
• Mother Baby Center (34 Rooms): Floating as needed to provide postpartum care for mothers and comprehensive newborn care, supporting Baby-Friendly initiatives.
• OB Special Care Unit (8 Beds): Floating as needed to care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.
• Utilizing Epic for all charting and documentation.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• License: Active Michigan RN license (or ability to obtain by start date) (Required).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (Required); Previous travel experience (Required); Antepartum experience (Required); Experience in a facility with 100-200 births/month (Required). First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
• Certifications: Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced) certifications (Required).
• Skills: Proficiency with EPIC charting (Required).
  
  

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Shift: Night 4x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week.
• Weekend Requirement: Must work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule.
• Floating: Required between L&D, Mother Baby, and OB Special Care units based on facility needs.
• On-Call: Not required.
• Block Scheduling: To be determined (TBD).
• Locals: Accepted (No radius rule).
• RTO (Request Time Off): Must be submitted at the time of profile submission. RTO will not be approved after the contract is signed. Blocked Dates: 4/18-4/20, 5/11.
• Modules: Mandatory modules (approx. 5 hours) are unpaid and must be completed prior to start.
