Call Requirements: Yes, 24 hrs per 6 wks
Weekend Requirements: Yes, every third.
Floating Requirements: Yes. Floating is 100% required. Floating to other IU facilities required. Refusal to float may result in termination of contract.
Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced Preferred).
Locals accepted: No.
Pending License accepted: No. IN-STATE LICENSE / REQUIRED CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUB
RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays.
Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek.
Special Requirements: IV Start.
Unit Information: Level 3 labor and delivery unit. care for antenatal, laboring and bereavement moms. responsible for vaginal deliveries, c-section deliveries, and surgical procedures related to labor and delivery. Fast paced, recently renovated, level 3 labor and delivery unit that includes triage and our ORs. provide care to moms that are antenatal, laboring, scheduled inductions, c-sections, D&C's, baby catching, circulating, bereavement, Have a level 3 NICU in house. Postpartum floor is separate, but if full might hold postpartum on the labor unit for a period of time. Anesthesia and OB laborists coverage 24/7. Ratios: We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for ratios
Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW).
**Periop/OR RNs, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
