Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the IV team. This role focuses on intravenous therapy, peripheral and PICC line insertions, and ultrasound-guided techniques to support inpatient care across departments.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in acute care nursing, nursing licensure in NJ, and BLS certification with possible ACLS/PALS depending on specialty. Shift details include 12PM-10:30PM, 24 hours per week, with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Prior IV team or vascular access experience preferred.
• Ultrasound-guided IV insertion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide IV therapy, including peripheral IV and PICC line insertions.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided IV insertions as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure patient safety.

Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Prior experience on an IV team or with vascular access is preferred
• Prior ultrasound-guided IV insertion preferred

Education Requirements

Graduate ofNLN-accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)

Special Requirements
