Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neuroscience Unit, a 16-bed ICU with a Neuro Interventional Suite, delivering expert neurological care around the clock. This part-time night-shift position (7pm–7am) requires at least one year of acute care RN experience, NJ RN license and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS may be required for certain specialties.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team and uphold Cooper's core values.

Qualifications

Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.

Cooper’s Neuroscience Unit is a 16-bed ICU paired with a state-of-the-art Neuro Interventional Suite, that together form an integral part of Cooper Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our nurses provide expert neurological care in both settings to ensure seamless continuity of care for our patients across a wide range of neurological diagnoses. With the most advanced technology and providers, Cooper expands its capabilities to care for neurological patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The healthcare professionals take tremendous pride in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, we provide outreach to bring stroke and neurological education to improve community health

Experience Required

A minimum of one year or more of acute care RN experience in an inpatient setting is strongly preferred.

Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)

Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)
