Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Cape May County is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assume responsibility for a group of patients, evaluate patients, implement and document nursing care, and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing and NJ-RN License required. Current AHA BLS CPR certification; ACLS within 3 months and Critical Care course within 6 months of hire. Specific shift requirements apply.

Short Description

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. Evaluates patients, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing and current NJ-RN License required. Specific shift requirements apply.

Experience Required

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Education Requirements

License/Certification Requirements

Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).

Current American Heart Association, (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.

ACLS(Advanced Cardiac Life Support)within 3 months of hire and Critical Care course within 6 months of hire.
