Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). The CCU is a 12-bed cardiac intensive care unit caring for complex cardiac patients, including structural heart cases and advanced heart failure.

The RN will provide specialized care within a multidisciplinary team and may participate in post-surgical care and continuous monitoring. The ideal candidate has at least one year of acute care experience in an inpatient setting, a valid NJ RN license, and BLS

Qualifications

• One year or more of acute care experience in an inpatient setting.
• Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NJ RN License (Registered Nurse).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Overview

The Coronary Care Unit is a 12-bed cardiac intensive care unit. The CCU cares for complex cardiac critical care patients including structural heart (TAVR), pre-cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other critical cardiac disease processes. The CCU nurses receive specialized training to care for our critical care cardiac patients

Experience Required

A minimum of one year or more of acute care experience in an inpatient setting is preferred.

Education Requirements

Graduate ofNLN-accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements

Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)

Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)
