Job summary

Novant Health's Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is expanding a 20-bed Intermediate Critical Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you’ll care for diverse high-acuity patients during 7p–7a night shifts on a full-time basis, working with a supportive team and engaged leadership.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in nursing, active RN licensure in North Carolina, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN licensure in North Carolina active.
• One year relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intermediate critical care setting.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition promptly.

We're expanding! Join our 20-bed Intermediate Critical Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center, where you'll care for a diverse patient population while working alongside a supportive team and engaged leadership.

Patient Population

• Critical Care
• Chronic and Acute Medical Patients
• Surgical Patients
• Neurological Complications
• Respiratory Distress
• Detox/Withdrawal Patients

Clinical Experience Includes

• Titratable IV Drips
• Chest Tubes
• BiPAP
• High-Flow Oxygen
• Stable Tracheostomies (No Ventilators)
• Continuous In-Room Monitoring

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
