Novant Health's Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown unit. The role involves delivering expert nursing care to telemetry monitored, post-operative cardiothoracic and structural heart patients, and coordinating with the care team.

You will uphold evidence-based practices, manage lines, BIPAP, trachs, and other critical care needs in collaboration with physicians and staff. The unit emphasizes high patient satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• Board-approved refresher course if licensure inactive for 5+ years.
• One year of relevant nursing experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide and coordinate individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to assess and implement care.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions and post-operative needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with policies.

• Come join the unit with the hisotrically high patient satisfaction scores at Forsyth! Patient population in this unit includes telemetry monitored, post-operative cardiothoracic surgery and structural heart patients. The care the Registered Nurse provides and the skills the Registered Nurse will utilize will include maintaining a-lines, BIPAP, trachs, temporary epicardial pacemakers, Blake drains, chest tubes, and drips.

What We're Looking For:

• Education:4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
