Job summary

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit. This full-time day shift role involves leading a healthcare team, establishing patient relationships, and coordinating care for complex cardiac patients.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff to plan and implement individualized care, using evidence-based practices to promote recovery and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; BSN preferred.
• One year of acute nursing experience required.
• BLS certification through ARC or AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and establish an authentic relationship with patients and their support system.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Provide care in accordance with current policies and procedures and use best scientific evidence.

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

What You'll Do

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death.

The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  -Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
