Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (ICU) at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time, 36-hour-per-week role runs days (7:00am–7:30pm) with every other weekend. You will assess patients, coordinate care plans, and communicate with patients, families, and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and collect health data from patient, family, and care team.
• Coordinate patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe and timely.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues in writing and verbally.
• Provide individualized patient and family teaching based on assessed needs.
• Participate in evaluating nursing practice quality through improvement initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time, 36 hours/week

What you will do:

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need:

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
