Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neurology Unit on the Day shift. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with hours from 7:00am to 7:30pm and every other weekend required.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and clear communication with patients, families, and health care team. Illinois RN licensure and BSN or Associate's degree required with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate. Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing. Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs. Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives. Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need:

Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
