Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit night shift. This full-time position requires 36 hours per week with 7:00pm to 7:30am shifts and every other weekend. You will perform patient assessments, coordinate care, educate families, and participate in quality initiatives while maintaining Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification.

Required: Associate's or BSN, IL RN license, CPR. Charge nurse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Degree: Associate's or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois nursing license.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient assessment and data collection with patient, family, and other providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicates clearly with patients and caregivers in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Educates patients and families based on assessed learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing standards and regulations.

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
