Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on the Weekend Night shift in Shawnee Mission, KS. The role offers a part-time schedule and rewards a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care within a faith-based health system.

Eligible clinicians may advance through the Clinical Ladder, with salary adjustments based on experience and advancement level. RN and BLS certification are required; ICU setting experience is valued.

• Associate's of Nursing required.
• RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly evaluate and revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and hospital protocol.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit Weekend Work Nights

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.


• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.


• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.


• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
