Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a 24-bed unit serving neurosurgical, neurotrauma and medical-surgical patients. Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and acute deterioration management is required.

The role offers 12-hour shifts (7pm-730am), every other weekend and rotating holidays, with a $7500 sign-on bonus. BSN preferred; Michigan RN license; teamwork across multidisciplinary staff is emphasized.

• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Job Description

A 24-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) responsible for neurosurgical, neurotrauma and medical surgical patients with required proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, recognition and treatment of acute patient deterioration, varied postoperative management. Qualified staff trained in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), External Ventricular Drains (EVDs), Massive Transfusion Protocols (MTP), Malignant Hyperthermia Protocols, and Post-Cardiac Arrests. Henry Ford Providence Southfield is an accredited teaching institution; ICU is privileged to work with a multidisciplinary team and incorporate all specialties into our daily care, including Intensivists, Nurse Practitioners, Critical Care Fellows, Residents, Social Workers, Case Managers, Dietitians, Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists.

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays

SIGN ON BONUS: $7500.00

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Prefer one year of critical care experience, ICU or ER
