Henry Ford Health Wyandotte Hospital ICU is a 26-bed mixed medical-surgical unit serving patients with complex diagnoses. RNs care for conditions such as DKA, respiratory failure, post-cardiac arrest, sepsis, and patients with balloon-pumps or Impella devices, following hypothermic protocols. ACLS certification is mandatory within one year of employment.

Job Description

Intensive Care Unit is an 26-bed mixed medical-surgical intensive care unit.The population consists of patients with multiple and complex medical diagnoses including but not limited to DKA, Respiratory Failure, Post-Cardiac Arrest, post-cardiac catheterization with interventions, sepsis, stroke/tPA, surgical procedures requiring q1h monitoring or lifesaving interventions. Our nurses are trained in caring for patients with balloon-pumps and Impella devices. RN utilize the hypothermic protocol in post-arrest patients. It is a great place to grow your knowledge and clinical skills. The RN staff will attend the Critical Care orientation class.ACLS certification is mandatory within ONE YEAR of employment.
