Henry Ford Providence Southfield is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit. This full-time night position offers a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and requires BSN preferred and Michigan RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs rapid patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols and collaborates with physicians to facilitate timely clinical decisions

• Educates patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions; maintains accurate EHR documentation for continuity of care
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical judgment in fast-paced environments while ensuring patient safety and quality standards

Sign on bonus eligible, up to $7,500 for FT Nights

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Performs rapid patient assessments utilizing evidence-based triage protocols and collaborates with physicians and advanced practice providers to facilitate timely clinical decision-making and appropriate patient disposition
• Monitors vital signs and patient responses to interventions, develops individualized care plans aligned with Clinical Decision Unit protocols, and documents clinical changes with accuracy
• Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions while maintaining accurate electronic health record documentation to support continuity of care
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical judgment in fast-paced environments while maintaining patient safety and quality standards

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification
