Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Neuroscience floor, a 31-bed medical/surgical unit serving newborns to young patients. The role emphasizes family-centered care and evidence-based practice in a dynamic, learning-focused environment.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a MA RN license, with at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience; pediatric exposure is preferred and CNRN/APHON certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute care RN experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred.
• CNRN encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients with diagnoses including seizures, demyelinating disorders, encephalitis, hydrocephalus, brain and spinal tumors.
• Delivering family-centered care across simple to complex diagnoses.
• Collaborating in a learning-focused environment with opportunities for growth.
• Working 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts, day/night rotation, every other weekend; permanent night shift available if desired.

Department Summary:

The Neuroscience floor is a 31-bed Medical/Surgical Unit with patients ranging in age from newborn up. Patients are from the following primary services: Epilepsy, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro Oncology. Patients originate from the PACU, MICU, NICU, direct admits and through the Emergency Room. Our Neuroscience teams work within the concept of family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex. It is an exciting place to learn and grow professionally as we strive to provide exceptional care through evidence-based practices and innovations throughout all our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Caring for patients with diagnoses that can include seizures, demyelinating disorders, encephalitis, hydrocephalus, brain and spinal tumors.
• Delivering family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex.
• Working in a collaborative environment with opportunities for learning and career growth.
• Working 36 hours per week (12hr shifts), day/night rotation, every other weekend (permanent night available if interested)
• Eligible for full time benefits.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Experience:

Pay & Benefits:

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
