Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital's General Surgical Unit is seeking a BSN-prepared RN to join a 30-bed unit caring for newborns to pediatrics. You will provide family-centered care and work on a rotating night schedule.

Minimum 1 year inpatient acute care RN experience is required; pediatric experience is preferred. Massachusetts RN licensure is required to practice in this unit.

Qualifications

• BSN required for the role.
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient acute care RN experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients in a 30-bed General Surgical Unit, including newborns to pediatrics, from PACU, MICU, NICU, direct admits and ER.
• Delivering family-centered care with diagnoses ranging from simple to complex.
• Work 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, every third weekend.

Patients originate from the PACU, MICU, NICU, direct admits and through the Emergency Room. Our Surgical teams work within the concept of family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex. It is an exciting place to learn and grow professionally as innovations in all of our programs (i.e. Intestinal Failure, Esophageal Atresia) remain our on-going challenge and commitment.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
