Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric RN in the Department of Neurology to care for infants, children, and adolescents with neurologic and developmental disorders. The role includes triage, care planning, patient education, and coordination across the care continuum.

The position requires a BSN, at least two years of pediatric RN experience, and MA RN licensure. The schedule is 40 hours per week across four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years of Pediatric RN experience in inpatient or ambulatory settings.
• Neurology and/or epilepsy experience preferred.
• MA RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and managing patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying plans of care for a specific patient assignment throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Providing exemplary patient care and working closely with physician partners and members of the interdisciplinary Epilepsy team.
• Contacting patients for changes in clinical management.
• Providing ongoing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, healthcare team members and other agencies involved.
• Educating patients and families regarding disease management and medications.
• Assisting with completion of prescriptions, school forms, medication and DME insurance authorizations, and other community networking resources and referrals.
• Working 40 hours per week: (4) 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
