Job summary

MetroHealth seeks an experienced RN to join the Inpatient Medical Surgical Float Pool at the Main Campus- Glick. The role involves floating across units such as Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine.

Responsibilities include IV placement, blood draws, Foley care, and managing tracheostomy/NG/PEG tube needs with teamwork from LPNs, PCNAs, nurses, and therapists. Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Float between units: Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, General Medicine.
• Perform IV placement, blood draws, foley catheter insertion/removal.
• Provide tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube care, drains, wound care.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and appropriate delegation.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN.
