Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join its Inpatient Medical-Surgical Float Pool at the MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. This role involves floating to Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine units.

Responsibilities include IV placement, blood draws, Foley catheter management, tracheostomy care, NG/PEG tube care, drains, and wound care, along with time management, critical thinking, and delegation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Basic Life Support certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Float RN to units including Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, General Medicine
• Perform IV placement, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion/removal
• Provide/troubleshoot Tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube care, drains and wound care
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation skills
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN
