Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Therapy team. The RN provides autonomous patient care using a systematic nursing process, from assessment to evaluation, in accordance with policy and standards. This role emphasizes compassionate care and collaboration with patients and families.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Required: ADN or nursing diploma, 1+ year infusion nursing experience, current RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or nursing diploma required.
• One or more years of infusion nursing experience.
• Completion of the ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy course or equivalent 2-day course.
• Current state RN license and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles; strong communication and professional ethics.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care per policy and standards.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in an autonomous manner by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice. This includes incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PHNS policy.

Work Schedule:

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  
  
  
  • Graduate from course of study in nursing resulting in a minimum of an associate degree/diploma in nursing.
  
  
  • One or more years’ experience infusion nursing
  
  
  • Role may require completion of the ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy course or equivalent 2-day course.
  
  
  
  


• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  
  
  
  • Must maintain a current state registered nurse license.
  
  
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

  • Strong clinical and human relations skills.
  
  
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PHNS.
  
  
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
