Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Infusion Therapy team in Connecticut. You will assess patients, coordinate care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, evidence-based infusion care.

The position requires a CT RN license, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS or enrollment within a year. You will cross-train on the IV team and may serve as a preceptor or charge nurse as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred or enrolled.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, infusion therapy preferred.
  • Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS required or must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient’s physical and psychosocial condition throughout care.
  • Develop and document a plan of care with patient, family and team.
  • Coordinate and implement the plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Evaluate outcomes and readiness for discharge; revise plan as needed.
  • Provide education and document outcomes; serve as preceptor.
  • Function as charge nurse when assigned.
  • Participate in performance improvement and product evaluations.

Works Under The Supervision Of The Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Qualifications

EDUCATION


Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; Bsn Preferred Or Currently Enrolled. Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records. Must Have Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients.


EXPERIENCE


Minimum 2-Years Clinical Nursing, Previous Infusion Therapy And/Or Credentialing In Infusion Therapy Preferred.


LICENSURE


Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License


SPECIAL SKILLS
