Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is seeking a registered nurse to join the Infusion Services team on a PRN basis.

The role involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on safety, plan updates, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position requires Indiana RN licensure and a BLS certification, with experience preferred in medical-surgical or critical care settings.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care tailored to individual needs, adhering to safety protocols to promote comfort and clinical excellence.
• Implement, monitor, and adapt individualized care plans while communicating critical condition updates to ensure timely clinical decisions.
• Lead multidisciplinary collaboration as the primary advocate and central coordinator across care disciplines for a seamless treatment journey.
• Execute physician and nursing orders to maintain clinical momentum and protect patient safety at every stage of treatment.
• Coordinate discharge planning needs with the broader healthcare team to empower patients and families after hospitalization.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
