Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Current RN license valid in NC (multi-state license with NC privileges acceptable).
• BLS certification required; specialty certifications may be required based on unit.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and appropriate delegation.
• May float to other units within the service area to meet patient care needs.
