Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will maintain accountability for care, evaluate outcomes, and coordinate with other departments while protecting patient rights and confidentiality.

Education includes graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license (or compact). BLS is required or obtained within 30 days of hire; additional certifications may be required by unit.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates care effectiveness delivered by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments, upholding patient rights and confidentiality.
