Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited RN program, hold an active RN license in the hiring state or compact, and maintain required certifications such as BLS; ACLS/ALS and other unit-specific certifications may be required depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state/compact licensure.
• Physical requirements include lifting/pushing 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support or course completion within 30 days of hire; additional unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
