Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Ohio RN license and CPR before patient care.
• Preferred minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for Firelands Health.
