Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking an IMC/Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse to perform patient assessments and develop and evaluate a care plan. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

You will administer medications, provide pre‑ and post‑operative care, delegate to non‑licensed staff, and support discharge planning while educating patients and families on care and treatments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma – Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice.
• BLS certification as per policy; ACLS within 6 months of employment.
• TNCC/TCAR/C-TAN certification – required within 12 months of hire.
• Texas RN license with Texas compact eligibility and license application timeline.

Job Summary and Qualifications

**As an IMC/Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with the other members to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.**

• **You will formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on the patient’s response to treatment and regularly evaluate plan for effectiveness**

• **You will consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet the patient’s needs and goals**

• **You will administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy**

• **You will delegate work appropriately to non‑licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice**

• **You will provide pre‑ and post‑operative patient care**

• **You will provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments**

• **You will facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team**

Requirements

Experience

• **Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)**

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma – Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred

License and Certifications

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must:

• Apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire

• **Obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license**
• **Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David’s Healthcare policy**
• **TNCC or TCAR or C-TAN certification – required within 12 months of hire**

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required within 6 months of employment
