Job summary

As a Telemetry RN, you will assess patients, formulate and evaluate care plans, administer medications, and lead discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements: ADN, TX RN license (BSN preferred); ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days; 1–3 years RN experience.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN
  • Able to recognize cardiac rhythms – preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
  • BSN – preferred
  • Current State of Texas RN license or Compact license. If Compact, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

  • Formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on the patient’s response to treatment and regularly evaluate plan for effectiveness
  • Consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet the patient’s needs and goals
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with the other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
Certificates and Licenses
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
