Qualifications

• Require Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Two years RN experience in the specialty area or LPN with director approval.
• Current Maryland RN registration with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• Current BLS certification from an American Heart Association site.
• Additional certifications (ALS, PALS, NRP) required upon hire for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using physical exams, interviews and data review to determine priorities.
• Develop and update written nursing care plans using scientific and psychosocial principles.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments and escalate emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate patient activities and discharge planning with health team members.
• Document patient status and plan of care clearly for physicians and team members.
