Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Two years RN experience in the specific specialty area or LPN experience at GBMC with director approval.
• Current Maryland RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Nursing Process to assess and determine priorities for patient care.
• Plan and update a written nursing care plan.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments; initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Coordinate care with patient, family and health team members; document in the medical record.
• Communicate patient status to physicians, nurses and other health professionals; educate patient and family.
