Harris Health in Houston, TX seeks a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to provide competent generalist nursing care under the Texas Nursing Practice Act. The NCII independently manages common patient problems, applies clinical standards and algorithms, and seeks resources when needed to ensure quality care.

Required: graduation from an accredited nursing program, TX RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN preferred. Flexible weekend/holiday/on-call schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from an AHA approved program.
• One year of full-time RN experience.
• Bachelor's Degree Major: Nursing / BSN Preferred.

Job Summary

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program; Other certificates as required by unit/service.
• Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience - Nursing
• Management Experience: N/A.
