Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to manage patients in assigned areas, following Texas Nursing Practice Act and Nursing Service standards. The NCII will work within the Harris Health system, including Ben Taub and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospitals, under supervision, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN preferred, TX nursing license, BLS, and at least one year of RN experience. Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from AHA-approved program.
• One year full-time RN experience.
• Other certificates as required by unit/service.

Job Summary

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program; Other certificates as required by unit/service.
• Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience - Nursing
• Management Experience: N/A.
