Harris Health System is hiring a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to provide direct patient care in the designated clinical area, following Texas Nursing Practice Act standards. The NCII will independently manage common patient problems, recognizing when to seek guidance and resources, while maintaining high quality, safe care.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, BLS certification, at least 1 year of full-time RN experience, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support (AHA) required.
• 1 year of full-time RN experience.

Responsabilités

JOB SUMMARY

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1. Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
• a. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred
• b. Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program; Other certificates as required by unit/service.
• 2. Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience - Nursing
• 3. Management Experience: N/A.
