Job Summary

The Registered Nurse II, under general supervision, providespatient care, evaluations, and treatment. Assists with theday-to-day operations for assigned area in clinic. Supervisesassigned staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, patient evaluations, andtreatment in accordance with Professional Nursing Standards.
• Uses the health care team approach to provide triage ofpatients, physical assessments, and treatments, including theadministration of medication and therapy as directed.
• Maintains and monitors patient records, assesses health careneeds, and provides patient education.
• Assesses, coordinates and assists with the day-to-dayoperations for assigned area in clinic. Evaluates potential risksto patients and staff and initiates resolution through effectiveeducation and change process.
• Supervises assigned staff and analyzes workload and skillrequirements to meet patient care needs.
• Serves as unit/department resource person for the clinicregarding policy, procedure, and standards.
• Provides preventative education programs to students, such asresidence life programs and student organization programs.
• Maintains inventory and requisition of medical supplies,medications, and equipment.

Additional Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations and PPD tests to students understanding orders of physician.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab tests.
• Responsible for assisting with COVID-19 pandemic providerresponsibilities including administration of COVID-19 vaccines,administration and interpretation of COVID-19 tests as well asclinical coordination and management of COVID-19 testing site andshipping of COVID-19 testing kits as per A&M Systempolicy.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - Must be licensed by the State of Texas as aRegistered Nurse.
• Experience - Two years of experience as a RegisteredNurse.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Experience in school health and/or public health setting.

Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge of:

• Word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Standard nursing procedures and techniques.

Salary: $58,510.44/annually
