Job summary

RHA Health Services in Milledgeville, GA is seeking an experienced RN for our IDD program. This is an office-based position with occasional travel to group homes within about an hour of the main office.

The role supports group home operations and offers a steady day schedule, Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program background, an active RN license, CPR certification, and strong communication with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Must communicate effectively with the Interdisciplinary Team and families.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration.
• Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health related data.
• Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health.

Location: The main office is out of Milledgeville, GA and all canidates must be willing to travel to our group homes, at the most, up to a 1 hour commute from the main office, as needed. Travel reimbursment is included.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $80,000+ (based on experience and credentials)

Incentives: No sign-on bonus is available. No relocation packaged offered.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and occasional, on call, phone triage rotation support will be required.

This is an office-based position that supports our group home operations and requires routine visits to our residential homes. It is ideal for nurses seeking a more structured and steady-paced environment outside of traditional fast-paced hospital or SNF settings.
