Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (IDD RN) for an office-based, full-time role in Milledgeville, GA, with travel to group homes as needed. Compensation starts at $80,000+ and travel reimbursement is included.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with occasional on-call duties. The ideal candidate has IDD nursing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Must communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, and the people supported and their families.
  • Must be able to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering nursing services to persons supported
  • Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
  • Conduct medication closest assessments
  • Collect health related data
  • Observe for and report abnormal health findings to the physician
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Advocate for the people supported and develop community supports to promote health

We are hiring for: Registered Nurse (IDD RN) - Office Days Type: Regular. Location: The main office is out of Milledgeville, GA and all candidates must be willing to travel to our group homes, at the most, up to a 1 hour commute from the main office, as needed. Travel reimbursement is included. Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $80,000+ (based on experience and credentials) Incentives: No sign-on bonus is available. No relocation package offered. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and occasional, on call, phone triage rotation support will be required. **This is an office-based position that supports our group home operations and requires routine visits to our residential homes. It is ideal for nurses seeking a more structured and steady-paced environment outside of traditional fast-paced hospital or SNF settings. Candidates with prior IDD and case management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.**

Job Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
  • Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks
  • Pre-employment screening: Complete criminal background Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
