Sign-on Bonus eligible: $20,000

The successful candidate will:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care for critically ill adolescent and adult patients.
• Provide acute care according to protocols and assist with special procedures.
• Supervise patient care partners and other healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient readiness for changes in care level; care for med-surg and telemetry patients as needed.
• Recover MAC local patients when PACU is not open.
• Interpret and operate cardiac and other monitors, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Caring for patients with complex needs, including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients.
• Initiate and maintain complex IV therapies, including thrombolytics, vasoactive meds, central lines, dialysis catheters, and arterial lines.
• Safely operate less invasive life-support modalities such as BiPAP, ETCO2, arterial pressure monitors, and core temperature monitors.
• Must be able to work 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

Required:

• Critical Care/Telemetry experience
• Current Illinois RN license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• OCN certification within 18 months of hire or 36 CE hours in oncology every 3 years, with 12 CE hours annually (Surgical Services exempt)
