Job summary

Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will provide high-acuity care, collaborate with physicians, and play a key role in patient safety and education. Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Castleview Hospital, where compassionate care, teamwork, and clinical excellence come together. Our ICU nurses work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients who require close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. As a member of our team, you'll work in a collaborative environment where communication, critical thinking, and supporting one another are essential. Howyou'llcontribute

As a Registered Nurse(RN),you'll play an important role in providing compassionate, high-quality med-surg care for our patients.

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifiespatient needs
• Identifiesandinitiatesappropriate nursinginterventions
• Provides careappropriate tocondition and age of the patient
• Performstimelyandappropriate documentationrelating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• PerformstimelyandaccurateQI assessments

Whatwe'relooking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license andpossessanassociate'sdegree from an accredited nursing school.Additionalrequirements include:

• Basic Life Support and ACLS certification isrequired.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
• New grads welcomed to apply!
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
