Job summary

Novant Health's East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC, ICU department seeks a PRN RN to provide direct and indirect nursing care across ages from infant to geriatric. Shifts include day and night, 7-7, under supervision of the Department Director and Charge Nurse.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborate with the health care team, and be willing to float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• BCLS, PALS, ACLS certifications required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

What You'll Do

• Under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, provides direct and/or indirect, safe and effective professional nursing care.
• Assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health care needs of all patients assigned.
• Provides nursing care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated.
• Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals.
• Provides quality nursing care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned.
• Must be willing/able to float to other (comparable) nursing units, as requested/needed.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:Two Years ICU Experience Required
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Must have current BCLS, PALS and ACLS certifications
