Job summary

SoftPath Medical seeks experienced critical care nurses for a travel/assignment role in Coastal Virginia, near Virginia Beach and Norfolk. The position requires strong neuro-ICU skills, ventilator management, IV titration, telemetry, and ability to monitor and respond to critical situations.

Licensure in Virginia (or compact) and Epic proficiency are required. Shifts are 12-hour, with 3x12 or 4x12 schedules, every other weekend, and holidays as per contract.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of submission.

Location

This position is based in the scenic Coastal Virginia area, just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk. The region offers numerous outdoor activities, including hiking trails for all skill levels and over 20 waterways to explore.

Assignment Details

Schedule: 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts

Every other weekend, floating, and holidays as required by the contract

48-hour contracts available with overtime billed after 48 hours; please specify candidate preference upon submission.

Patient Ratios

Typical ratio: 1:2–3

Floating Requirements

• Stepdown Unit


• Emergency Department or Medical-Surgical units to care for ICU patients being held

Minimum Requirements

• Preferred three years of critical care experience (strong candidates with less experience may be considered)


• Previous travel experience preferred


• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of submission; no exceptions


• Proficiency in Epic required; no exceptions
