Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse I to provide patient-centered care in the Medical/Surgical department in Front Royal, VA. The RN will perform the nursing process, coordinate care with the team, and lead patient education and safety initiatives.

Licensure as an RN in Virginia is required or eligibility, with a BSN preferred. BLS is mandatory; ACLS/EKG is preferred for Labor and Delivery. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with current Virginia license or eligibility
• BLS Certification required; ACLS/EKG preferred for Labor and Delivery units
• Proven ability to perform nursing processes: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process to assigned patient populations
• Coordinate care with the health care team and ensure quality patient outcomes
• Lead patient education, safety initiatives, and unit quality improvement activities
• Document accurately and manage time efficiently across shifts
