Job summary

Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide expert, patient-centered care in a home-based or facility setting, focusing on comfort and quality of life for patients and families.

The role emphasizes 1:1 patient care, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, documentation excellence, and participation in on-call rotation as required by the local branch.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured automobile.

Responsibilities

• Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
• Create hospice care plans that align with patient wishes and goals.
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Provide pain and symptom management.
• Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch.

Coverage area: Gainesville Haven Care Center

Schedule: PRN, 12hr Shifts - 7a-7p/7p-7a. Must Work a Minimum of 2 shifts per pay period.
