Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Maine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor, Unit Manager, or Nurse Executive. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and LPNs to ensure safe, effective patient care and smooth discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued by Maine State Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience in long-term care, post-acute, rehabilitative, or geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Lead and delegate care to LPNs and CNAs within state scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for care decisions.
• Document care accurately in PCC EHR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support discharge planning and patient/family education.
