Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a part-time registered nurse to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and support transitions across the care continuum.

The RN will practice under the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, lead with effective communication, and participate in committees as needed. BSN and FL RN license are required; flexible hours including days/evenings/nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and direct patient care.
• Educate patients and families and support transitions of care.
• Provide leadership through preceptor and committee activities where applicable.
• Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts and on-call as required.
