Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, provide patient and family education, and support transitions of care. The RN will work within Mayo Clinic's Nursing Professional Practice Model and may participate in leadership roles and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications include graduation from a nursing program, an RN license, and BLS. Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing within five years from RN start date (post-April 2020).
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting, or one year as an LPN at Mayo Clinic, is preferred.
• Current RN license by state requirements and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Additional state licensure or specialty certification as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Support professional nursing practice across care settings and continuum of care.
• Provide leadership through mentoring, committee participation, and quality improvement efforts.
