Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident for the Cardiac Pavilion. This full-time night-shift position offers sign-on incentives and RN bridging programs to advance your BSN/MSN. Requires RN licensure and a nursing degree; BLS required.

The role focuses on applying the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinating with departments, and upholding Mercy Service Standards while protecting patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of RN experience is preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Other: Physical demands include lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and ability to bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of RN experience is preferred but not required.
• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other: Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
