Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse to apply the nursing process and deliver high-quality patient care. You will evaluate caregiver effectiveness, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in all duties.

The role requires an RN license, 1 year of experience, and life-support certifications per Mercy policy, with BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable to the unit. Mercy offers strong benefits and growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing with ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• RN license must be current in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Life support certification current upon hire and aligned with Mercy policy within 90 days; BLS for MS/WC, or BLS+ACLS for CC, and BLS/ACLS/PALS for ED.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience & Certifications

• Experience: 1 year of experience
• Certifications:Life support certification current upon hire and in alignment with Mercy policy no later than 90 days after hire.
• For Med Surg (MS) and Women's and Children's (WC) - BLS
• For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS
• For ED - BLS, ACLS, PALS

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
